Sowerby's background is as a commercial photographer. Born in England, he attended Art College there for three years studying photography. After working for four years in London he migrated to Sydney in 1970.
Sowerby has been working full-time in advertising photography since, mainly with large advertising agencies as clients. For the last 26 years he's run a very well-known and respected studio. The scope of the work ranges from cars to people, products, lifestyle situations, room sets, electrical and computer products, architectural, corporate portraiture and event coverage plus extensive medical advertising.

The New Studio is in St Leonards, on Sydney's North Shore. There are several client parking spaces available, and our own loading dock. So, whatever you need photographed, in the studio, on digital or film 35mm to 10x8, if you can get it here, we’ll shoot it.
